One year Gustav Klimt database

One year ago today, the Gustav Klimt database was launched! And over the last 12 months, a number of features have been added in order to convey "the world of yesterday" in today's medium in even greater detail and to facilitate in-depth research.

In addition to an exhibition directory, which can be accessed via the research section and provides insights into the extensive exhibition activities of the world artist, we have expanded Klimt's network with additional text and image material and established a blog section with Klimt news. We have also expanded our collection of autographs by, to and about Klimt, so that you can now research the background to many painting commissions in even greater detail and immerse yourself in Klimt's personal world, his doubts and his joys.

We are also working intensively on the English-language version of our database, which will soon be online!
