Golden Boy Gustav Klimt. Inspired by Van Gogh, Rodin, Matisse...

Gustav Klimt is one of the most fascinating artists in European art history. He is world-famous for his golden and decorative paintings and his impressive portraits of women. The exhibition »Golden Boy Gustav Klimt. Inspired by Van Gogh, Rodin, Matisse...«, which was conceived by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in cooperation with the Belvedere in Vienna, presents the painting genius Klimt in the context of like-minded, international artists.

The Klimt Foundation has loaned three important paintings for this unique exhibition: Girl in the Green (c. 1898), Girlfriends I (The Sisters) (1907) and The Bride (1917/18, unfinished).

From February 2023, this show will be on display at the Belvedere [Lower Belvedere] in Vienna.
