A golden dome, radical visions, a leap into modernity: The Vienna Secession became the symbol of Viennese Modernism around 1900 and a stage for the Gesamtkunstwerk of Gustav Klimt, Alfred Roller, Kolo Moser, and others. But what role did photography play in this artistic revolution?

Four experts shed light on a nearly forgotten chapter of the Viennese photographic avant-garde—spanning documentation, staging, and artistic experimentation. Following the discussion, the Prunksaal will open for an exclusive presentation of original objects.
